well, i have been following the whole discussion, and there is just ONE question that circles my mind.

i hope its legitimate to open a new thread for this.

PLEASE dont discuss the problems of spirit spams here, i just want one kind of posts, but please only from the top guilds. i want answers from people, that REALLY know, what they are doing. especially from people that perfected and abused the spiritspam beyond imagination.

the question is rather simple:
do you have counters, other than the same build used more effectively?

i dont want to steal your tricks, so maybe "we can counter it" or "we cannot" from reputable persons would be enough as an anwer.

There are plenty of coutners for spirt spammers. They have a 6 seccond cast and a rechrage time for over a minute. Distracting shot, leach signet and disrupting shot are a few good ways to stop the spirt from being cast. To counter oath shot signet of humidity or simply using a defesive stance to prevent the atatck from striking. To do a global clense of these things the spirt edge of extintion is quite handy.
Also while a team is doing this they're not doing anything else. They can easily be stopped with PYSICAL attacks. The reason you are having so much trouble is because (This is just an educated guess) you are using a spike team. Ranger armour laughs at elemental atatcks, especial the specific types.
The problem alot of people have with spirts are that you need spirts to counter them. But when all it takes is ONE ranger to do a global clensing of a whole team of rangers it doesn't strike me as much of a problem.
I've never had any personal problems with the things in any of my builds anyway (I've never run a spike build.)

i always thought, that if the opposition has enough seasons up, you can NOT overcome the spirits, you HAVE to fight with their effects in place?

Edge of extinction. Effectivly nudiers spirt spammers.. and if you stuff up (like we did today, Putrid + edge = ARMAGEDDON!) At least you take all of them with you!
